What are Leatherette Tags?

Meet our best selling leatherette tags! Offering the look and feel of genuine leather, at a much more affordable price. Leatherette is a lovely vegan alternative, made from layered fabric and polyurethane.

Leatherette tags are washable! Unlike real leather, they are nonporous and will not bleed. They can be washed and dried without any trouble. This is why they’re so popular with children’s clothing brands and handmade pet accessories!

Permanently engraved with precision, tags can be customized with your logo, branding, or design, using our laser machine. Leatherette is available in variety of colors and can be cut to size, including seam allowance, or holes for hand-sewing. The perfect professional touch for your handmade sewing projects, knitwear, and more!

What are my tag options?

There are three main types of leatherette products that we offer in our shop: flat tags , foldover tags, and patches. These can be customized with your provided design(s) or you can select from our personalized and ready-to-ship designs, available on our website. If you are looking for a custom design for your tags, please send us an email!

Attaching Tags

There are several ways to attach tags to your projects! The most common are machine sewing and hand stitching. Read the list below for more ideas:

HAND STITCH
Stitch tags directly onto your garments by hand! When ordering your tags, request holes in the corners for easy hand sewing.

MACHINE SEW
Sew tags directly onto your garments with a standard sewing machine! We will produce your tags without any holes, but with seam allowance. Standard seam allowance is 1/8", but please let us know if you require a different measurement!

RIVETS
Attach your tags with 1/8" or 1/4" rivets for a unique finish! Select one of our specialty rivet tag designs or request rivet holes on any custom tag.

GLUE
Glue tags directly onto your project! Make sure to use glue formulated for your materials. We've found that gorilla fabric glue & hot glue work well!

VELCRO
Want a removeable option? Attach velcro to the back of your tag and the surafce of your garment, for easy tear-off whenever you want!

What are my color options?

We offer a variety of colors for you to choose from, including: light brown, dark brown, rawhide, navy blue, teal, and rose. Not sure which color you want? CLICK HERE to order a sample pack!
